We have very little tile in our house. We have a tiled backsplash, the same tile in our shower, and a tiled bathroom floor. That’s it! The number one factor in choosing tile for us was price! This isn’t our forever home and putting in expensive tile just wouldn’t have been a sound financial decision. Don’t you hate it when you have to be wise? Wisdom is ZERO fun in the short term, but incredibly important in the long term… #grownup!
Our next house, I’m going full blown tile crazy, though! Shane is super good at tiling so I’m going to use and abuse him! He just doesn’t know it yet. Shhh don’t tell him! I’ve been obsessing over tile lately. We will see what I really choose when the time has come, but I’m really hoping to push myself a little. I’m thinking less plan and classic and a little more edge! Here are some tiles I’ve been dreaming of lately!

This is super plain subway, but laid in the most perfect way!

Ignore these countertops, because they just aren’t working for me….But the backsplash….LOVE. It reminds me of this restaurant that was below our apartment when we lived in Brisbane. I drooled over their tile, that was similar to this, every day!! I can feel a black backsplash coming on in my future!!
There’s nothing completely earth shattering about this tile choice. What I love is how seamlessly it’s integrated into the wood flooring! I love that’s it’s almost like an entry rug. Totally storing up this idea for the future homestead!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this tile. It’s so classic but yet still daring. It’s the perfect balance for my taste! I love making daring design choices that I know still read classic, as well.
Yes yes yes yes yes, please! I see so many possibilities with this tile. I really really love it!
I mean…. So so so pretty!
Adore! Apparently, I also really adore blue! If I really think about it I know that about myself, but I don’t know why I’ve never just proclaimed it to the world?!?! I love blue, everyone!! I love it so much I want to permanently adhere it to my walls and floors!
I can’t wait until my next house! I’m tiling ev-er-y-thing! The good news is I’ve got some time to come up with ways to tile as much as possible! 😉
